These roles are all voluntary, but of extreme importance to our association.  EACH can only thrive with the help of volunteers who take up positions of responsibility within the organisation and we encourage all of you to become involved.

National/Deputy National Representative

National/Deputy National Representative:

The position of National/Deputy National Representative is open to members of EACH.  The ideal candidate has:

• been a member of EACH for at least two years
• experience in research, teaching and/or policy in the field of communication in healthcare
• can put general above personal interest
• the role is for 2 years but members can be re-elected twice more to serve a total of 6 years in any role with a total of 12 years overall

Chair of the Advisory Committee:

The position of Chair of the Advisory Committee is open to members of EACH.  The ideal candidate:

• has been a NR for at least two years
• has considerable personal experience in research, teaching or policy in the field of communication in healthcare
• has experience within leadership and management
• has effective organizational, listening, facilitation and leadership skills
• is able to put general above personal interest
• the role is for 2 years but members can be re-elected twice more to serve a total of 6 years in any role with a total of 12 years overall
• is able to fulfil all the responsibilities of an executive member (please see job description for details)

Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee:

The position of Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee is open to members of EACH.  The ideal candidate:

• is a National Representative
• has personal experience or has shown interest in research, teaching or policy in the field of communication in healthcare
• has demonstrated organizational, listening and facilitation skills
• can put general above personal interest
• the role is for 2 years but members can be re-elected twice more to serve a total of 6 years in any role with a total of 12 years overall
