Healthcare Communication Education Research – Critical reflections of doctor-patient communication: Experiential learning

In her PhD, Lynn investigated how doctors and patients experience the disclosure of significant information in the advanced cancer setting and considered how their experiences enhance practice.  One of the four objectives was to critically reflect on doctor-patient communication in such situations with a view to considering future strategies for doctors continuing professional development.  This presentation presents some of the reflections and challenges of the doctors and their need to enhance feedback and reflective practice through experiential learning.
