Elections - Executive Committee

Applications are now invited for the positions of President-Elect and Treasurer.  These Executive roles are voluntary and extremely important to our Association.  EACH can only thrive with the help of volunteers who take up positions of responsibility and help shape the strategic direction of the Association. We encourage you to consider becoming involved and support EACH’s work through membership of the Executive Committee.

President-Elect
Treasurer

President-Elect

The position of President-Elect is open to all members of EACH, although candidates with experience of active EACH Committee membership will be preferred.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has been a member of EACH for at least three years.
  • Has considerable professional experience of working in the field of healthcare communication (research, teaching, policy, or all three).
  • Will be able to fulfill all the responsibilities of the President-Elect, President and Past President (a six-year commitment).
  • Is fluent in English (both written & spoken).
  • Has experience in leadership and management.

Additional desirable qualities include:

  • Previously undertaken an active role within the Association, e.g. Chair, Co-chair or member of the EACH Advisory Committee, one of the Sub-committees (rEACH, tEACH or pEACH) or Planning Committee for the EACH-hosted International Conference in Communication in Healthcare (ICCH).

Treasurer

The position of Treasurer is open to all members of EACH.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Been a member of EACH for at least two years.
  • Has professional experience of working in the field of healthcare communication research, teaching, policy, or all three).
  • Will be able to fulfill all the responsibilities of the Treasurer (minimum two year commitment).
  • Is fluent in English (both written & spoken).

Additional desirable qualities include:

  • Experience in financial administration and accounting procedures.
    • Previously undertaken an active role within the Association, e.g. Chair, Co-chair or member of the EACH Advisory Committee, one of the Sub-committees (rEACH, tEACH or pEACH) or Planning Committee for the EACH-hosted International Conference in Communication in Healthcare (ICCH).

Applicants for the posts of President-Elect and Treasurer will be shortlisted for interview by the EACH Nomination Committee. The EACH Nomination Committee is chaired by the current President-Elect, Richard Brown, and made up of volunteers from the EACH Advisory Committee. The EACH Nomination Committee will then propose their preferred candidate to the EACH Executive for approval before seeking acceptance from the whole EACH membership at the Annual General Meeting of members in September 2024.
