Presenters

Dr Anita Laidlaw is Director of the Centre for Healthcare Education Research and Innovation at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She is also co-lead of the Training group with rEACH. Anita has specific interests in research investigating the use of empathy maps to develop empathy amongst healthcare professionals and weight management conversations in primary care.

 

Professor Alexia Papageorgiou is Chair of the Centre of Medical Education, University of Nicosia Medical School, Cyprus. She is also Chair of the rEACH Core Committee. ​Alexia‘s areas of expertise in medicatl education are clinical and communication skills, curricular development and related assessments. Alexia has specific research interests and expertise in clinical comunication, empathy and cultural competence.

 

Dr Cadja Bachmann, MME is Consultant for Medical Education at the University of Rostock, Germany. Cadja’s areas of expertise in medical education are communication, clinical skills, curricular development and simulated patients. Cadja has specific research interests and expertise regarding effects of communication trainings, clinical assessments, inter-professional and cross-cultural communication.
