Your chance to make sure communication has a voice in assessment

EACH is an Academic Partner for Ottawa 2024. Submit an abstract to be considered as part of the assessment of communication skills stream.

Communication could be part of each of the conference themes. The full programme will be published shortly.

This could include:

• Assessment of communication skills in undergraduate or postgraduate health professional learners (in OSCEs, Workplace Based Assessments etc);
• Assessment of the communication skills of healthcare providers;
• Tools used to observe, code, or rate communication skills;
• Processes of training or standardising those who assess or observe communication;
• Efforts to influence policy (of education institutions or health systems) relating the evaluation/assessment of communication skills;
• Assessment of communication skills as it relates to efforts to improve patient care.
