This video might help those of you teaching nurses communication skills. It provides you with the opportunity to consider what skills have been used and to discuss how the nurse might have done things differently.

Brief description:
Mhairi has breast cancer. She is fearful about her forthcoming surgery and is scared. The breast cancer clinical nurse specialist has been asked to speak to Mhairi to talk through her fears. The conversation takes place over the telephone.
