This webinar explores the impact of interprofessional education (IPE) for communication skills on goals of care documentation in an acute setting.

Our presenter Sharyn Milnes trained as a registered nurse at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in 1985. Her PhD thesis examined doctors’ operationalisation of patient autonomy in shared decision-making with patients with a life limiting illness in the acute care setting. She has completed postgraduate studies in critical care nursing, adult education and higher education at Deakin and Sydney Universities. She completed her Masters of Bioethics at Monash University and is now involved in research and medical education in the area of medical ethics, professionalism and communication.
