HCER webinar – The impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the conventional methods of teaching and assessment of clinical communication skills in undergraduate health care education.

During this webinar, the results of the first completed HCER research project will be presented on the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the conventional methods of teaching and assessment of clinical communication skills in undergraduate health care education.

Presenter: Prof Alexia Papageorgiou

Alexia Papageorgiou (PhD) is the Chair of the Centre of Medical Education and a Professor of Clinical Communication at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She has been working in the academic field of clinical communication for more than twenty years. Her scholarly work has been published in international conference proceedings and refereed academic journals, books and book chapters. In her current roles at the University of Nicosia Medical School she has been responsible for developing and implementing a complex teaching and learning portfolio in clinical communication for different programmes (both undergraduate and graduate) in a country with no previous medical education tradition or infrastructure and then deploying some of it overseas to our sites in Chicago, Tel Aviv, Zurich and Athens Greece.
