Mainstreaming Inclusion Health Practice: Key Communication Pointers for Teaching Undergraduate Medical Students

Speakers: Dr Austin O’Carroll and Professor Andrea Williamson

This session will be led by Dr Austin O’Carroll and Professor Andrea Williamson, both Inclusion Health GPs who teach and train medical students and graduates.
Inclusion Health focuses on providing high quality healthcare to people who are marginalised in society. This includes people experiencing homelessness, problem substance use, people who are migrants and others.
Austin will begin the session by focussing on conversations of exclusion that lead to patients being excluded from services or care.
Andrea will then do a whistle-stop tour of Trauma Informed Practice (TIP) and her experience of teaching TIP to undergraduate medical students with signposting to excellent resources.

There will be plenty time for questions and discussion.

Après votre inscription, vous recevrez un e-mail de confirmation contenant des informations sur la participation à la réunion.
