Zweck des Tools:
To develop shared decision making skills, build rapport and develop relationships, understand a model for health behaviour change, be able to use importance and confidence scaling appropriately and effectively and to understand the concept that there is always a cost and a benefit to the individual with regard to a behaviour change and that feelings of ambivalence are a normal part of this process.
Kurze Beschreibung:
Here we concentrate on health behaviour change and motivational interviewing. The course builds on students‰Ûª learning from the Explanation and Planning course in stage/level 2 and also the shared decisionmaking, concordance and informed consent course which students will have experienced earlier in stage/level 3. It also seeks to highlight further the shift towards the supportive facilitative approach which is essential when we consider patients‰Ûª motivation and confidence to change.
