DESCRIPTION:This webinar explores the impact of interprofessional education
  (IPE) for communication skills on goals of care documentation in an acute
  setting.\nOur presenter Sharyn Milnes trained as a registered nurse at th
 e Royal Melbourne Hospital in 1985. Her PhD thesis examined doctors’ ope
 rationalisation of patient autonomy in shared decision-making with patient
 s with a life limiting illness in the acute care setting. She has complete
 d postgraduate studies in critical care nursing\, adult education and high
 er education at Deakin and Sydney Universities. She completed her Masters 
 of Bioethics at Monash University and is now involved in research and medi
 cal education in the area of medical ethics\, professionalism and communic
 ation.
