DESCRIPTION:Direct observation of provider-patient interactions: Implicatio
 ns for health communication education\nThis webinar will provide a brief o
 verview of direct observation methodologies (i.e. audio/video recording of
  clinical interactions) and how they may be employed to conduct detailed q
 uantitative analyses of healthcare communication practices. I will discuss
  how the results of this work can be used to inform healthcare communicati
 on skills training and education. I will draw on a research example of com
 munication about overweight and obesity in primary care consultations.\nFa
