DESCRIPTION:The VOICE studies: evidence-based training resources for improv
 ing healthcare professionals’ communication with people living with deme
 ntia.\nDr Rebecca O’Brien is a Senior Research Fellow at the University 
 of Nottingham where she works as part of the VOICE study team\, using the 
 findings from applied Conversation Analysis to develop communication skill
 s training for healthcare practitioners working with people with dementia\
 , which they then evaluate. She also works in the NHS as a Speech and Lang
 uage Therapist\, where she specialises in working with people with dementi
 a in both hospital and community settings.\nDr O’Brien will present some
  of the findings from the VOICE studies and show how these have been devel
 oped into communication skills training resources\, some of which will soo
 n be made freely available via their new website.
